About this tool

This redirect checker follows each submitted public URL through its actual HTTP responses and preserves every observed hop. It reports status codes, destinations, long chains, loops, failures, and the final URL so a migration or changed route can be reviewed from evidence instead of assumptions.

What you get

A clear, usable result

  • Up to ten submitted URLs, each with a bounded sequence of HTTP 301, 302, 303, 307, or 308 responses.
  • Every observed hop, its status code, the resolved destination, and whether the chain ends successfully.
  • Loops, unreachable destinations, excessive hops, insecure downgrades, and multi-hop chains that deserve review.
How to read the result

Act first

Start with the items that change whether the redirect path can work at all. Confirm the evidence on the live page or source file, make the smallest safe correction, and run the same check again after publishing.

Review with context

A warning is not automatically a defect. Compare it with the page purpose, the intended audience, the available first-party evidence, and the rest of the site before changing a template that may affect many URLs.

Measure the outcome

Treat the output as a decision aid, not a ranking promise. Keep a record of the change, allow the relevant crawler or reporting period to update, and compare the business or search outcome with the baseline.

Limitations and sources
  • The checker observes current public HTTP behavior. It cannot confirm an unpublished redirect map, future CDN configuration, browser-only JavaScript navigation, analytics attribution, or whether the selected final page is the correct business destination.
  • The free run is deliberately bounded so it stays fast, respectful of websites, and inexpensive to operate. It is not a substitute for an exhaustive authenticated crawl, a scheduled monitor, or manual editorial review.
  • Results reflect the supplied input and the public response observed during this run. JavaScript-only content, blocked bots, incomplete exports, temporary network behavior, or missing business context can change the conclusion.
