Indexing and content impact
Understand published, indexed, impression, and click stages without overstating the results.
Content impact helps you follow the search progress of articles created or optimized and published with Surpasso.
What each stage means
- Published: The article has a trusted published record in Surpasso.
- Google indexed: Google's latest inspection confirmed that the tracked URL is indexed.
- Receiving impressions: The page appeared in Google Search during the selected period.
- Receiving clicks: The page received at least one Google Search click during the selected period.
These stages make progress easier to read, but they are not a strict conversion funnel. Indexing is a recent page status, while impressions and clicks belong to the selected date range. A page can therefore have historical search results even if its latest inspection status changes.
Confirmed indexed is not a site-wide total
Google's URL inspection checks one known URL at a time. The confirmed indexed count in Content impact covers tracked Surpasso articles that have a recent inspection result. It does not claim to be the total number of indexed pages on your website.
For the website-wide indexing picture, use the Indexing report in Google Search Console.
Important distinctions
- No impressions does not mean that a page is not indexed.
- No confirmed result means the page has no current inspection result; it does not automatically mean “not indexed.”
- “First seen” milestones describe when Surpasso first recorded a result, not necessarily the first time it ever happened in Google.
- Country and device filters change impressions and clicks, but not the latest indexing status.
What the result can tell you
Content impact can show whether managed articles are beginning to appear and earn visits in Google Search. It can also help you open an article, review its related queries, and inspect its latest Google status.
It cannot prove that Surpasso alone caused every result. Search Console also does not, by itself, measure sales, sign-ups, revenue, a complete backlink profile, or separate visibility in other AI products.
