Troubleshoot Analytics and GSC
Resolve common connection, domain-matching, authorization, and report-preparation issues.
Most Analytics issues fall into two groups: Google Search Console is not fully connected, or the requested report is still being prepared.
No workspace domain
Add your website through Brand Context first. Google Search Console matching uses the domain saved for the current workspace.
No Domain property found
The connected Google account cannot access a complete Domain property that exactly matches the workspace domain.
Try one of these steps:
- Open Google Search Console and add and verify the complete Domain property.
- Ask the website owner to grant your Google account access.
- Use Change Google account and choose an account that already has access.
- Return to Surpasso and select Check again.
Surpasso keeps the Google authorization while you fix the property, so you do not need to disconnect first.
Only a URL-prefix property is available
A property such as https://www.example.com/ covers a specific URL prefix. It
is not the same as the complete Domain property for example.com.
Add or request access to the complete Domain property in Google Search Console, then select Check again in Surpasso. You cannot manually substitute a similar, parent, or URL-prefix property for the workspace domain.
Reconnect required
Google access may have expired or been revoked. Select Reconnect Google and complete the authorization again. Surpasso will then check your workspace domains.
Analytics is preparing data
After connection, Surpasso prepares the main reports automatically. A custom date range, country, or device combination may also need preparation the first time it is opened.
You can leave the page and return later. If preparation failed, use Retry or Refresh now. Repeated refreshing does not make Google source data arrive sooner.
Analytics has little or no data
Check that:
- The correct workspace and domain are selected.
- Google Search Console shows search activity for the same Domain property.
- The date, country, and device filters are not too narrow.
- The report's data-through date covers the period you expected.
A new site or page may be indexed before it earns impressions or clicks. Google Search data may also be delayed.
Google is temporarily unavailable
Wait a few minutes, then use Check again or Retry. If Surpasso says that reconnection is required, reconnect instead of repeatedly retrying.
Before contacting support
Note the workspace domain, the status shown on the page, and which step failed. Do not send your Google password, authorization codes, or private credentials.
